LARC Members, Lynette and I have been trying to catch up on parenthood and several family matters lately. As a result, this message will be the LARC Newsletter for July. Does anyone want to volunteer to be newsletter editor? Field Day was interesting, to say the least. We came up with more QSOs this year than last year, but couldn't find the sign-in sheet to claim bonus points for people who attended. Goes to show you how a little coercion from a tornado warning can expedite takedown. You can read the final score summary at the Tin Lizzy site: http://www.k8utt.org/2010_field_day.htm Just a reminder to get those Hot Dog & Corn Roast RSVPs in to Tas, K8TAS, and Doris, KD8DXJ, ASAP. The annual event will take place at their place on Sunday, August 8th from noon till 4pm. Hope to see you there. Lynette and I will be activating lighthouses in the Keweenaw peninsula this coming weekend and next week, as K8E. We will also be active on FM satellites as well as 6-Meters (if propagation cooperates). Instead of our usual Carolina Windom 80, we will be using a Buddipole system, just to see what happens. We will also be using Hamsticks on the car.
